New Mayor Installed by Dean of Ripon

Sunday was a day of celebration which saw the installation of the new Mayor of Ripon, Cllr Andrew Williams.
Cllr Williams was placed in the stall assigned to the mayor in the cathedral's Medieval quire by Dean John, as we asked for God's blessing on our council and the city.
We were delighted that members of 21 Engineer Regiment joined us for this civic service.

The Archbishop of Canterbury’s Installation

The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally is installed as Archbishop of Canterbury on 25 March, the 106th archbishop in succession to St Augustine. The service is in Canterbury because this is head cathedral for the southern province of England.
