Ripon Cathedral Thursday Lunchtime Concerts

Ripon Cathedral is delighted to host wonderful performers in the stunning setting of the medieval quire for its free lunchtime concerts.

April-July 2024

18th April – Tim Harper performing music by Holst, Bairstow, Fauré & Jeffrey Wilson on the organ

25th April – Jane Burnell accompanied by Tim Kennedy

2nd May – Students from Leeds University accompanied by Daniel Gordon

9th May – Gillian Hart (oboe) accompanied by Michael Stevenson (piano), performing music by Saint-Saëns, Field, Tim Stevenson, Madeleine Dring, Poulenc and Grovlez

16th May – Julia Hartmann, piano

23rd May – Students from Leeds University accompanied by Daniel Gordon

6th June – John Treherne, virginals, music by William Byrd, Louis Couperin & Henry Purcell

13th June – Paul Chamberlain, accordion

20th June – The Yorkshire Decibelles directed by Ruth Sladden

27th June -Young Singers of Ripon, Pupil of Matthew Lennox

4th July – Joseph Spratt, tenor, part of Ripon Theatre Festival

11th July – Charlotte Harper, recorder

Light refreshments are served from 12.30pm with the concert from 1-1.5pm
