Reflective Walk with Geoff Ashton

Join Executive Coach and Education volunteer, Geoff Ashton, in a 45-minute interactive reflective walk. Explore with other visitors,  the history, deeper story and contemporary message of three of the cathedral’s memorial windows – Ripon Teacher Training College, Caroline Longley Memorial and Featherstone Memorial II. The walk will be of interest to worshipers, pilgrims, heritage enthusiasts and tourists.

How do you read a stained-glass window? What message did the people who commissioned these windows want to convey? How did the artists use the shape, images, colour and flow of the window to communicate these ideas? These amazing works of art are still speaking today. What are they saying to us?
