Poetry Reading in the Cathedral

Ripon Cathedral is delighted to host the opening event of this year’s Ripon Poetry Festival on National Poetry Day.

Local poets will gather in the cathedral to share their work from This Here, This Now – An Anthology of Ripon Poets 2025. This special event celebrates the rich creative spirit of our community, bringing together voices from across the city in a place of beauty and inspiration.

The readings are free to attend and there is no need to book. We warmly invite you to join us and experience an afternoon of poetry in the unique setting of the north transept of the cathedral.
