Throughout Lent the worshipping community of Ripon Cathedral has been seeking to journey together, refocusing on Christ’s example and leadership. Part of this has included reflecting on how we support God’s mission in and through the cathedral with our financial contributions.

A planned giving renewal campaign was launched by the Dean of Ripon and the Canon Treasurer on the Sunday before Lent. This was followed on the first three Sundays of Lent with sermons exploring why, what and how we give. In his sermon Dean John stressed that our financial contributions to the work of the cathedral are a tangible expression of our gratitude to God for all that he gives.

Congregation members are being encouraged to respond to the appeal using the material and response forms provided, by Sunday April 6, the beginning of Passiontide. Anyone who has not received information about this appeal, and would like to do so, is encouraged to contact admin@riponcathedral.org.uk

The dean is keen to express the gratitude of the whole cathedral to those who contribute on a regular basis. Without this the mission of the cathedral would be difficult to plan and much of it would be impossible to offer.
