Wilfrid enjoyed the benefits of a remarkably wide network of national and international associates. Exploring these networks gives us insights into his world at a personal level. The first lecture on Thursday September 25, focuses principally on the earlier part of his career, when he needed patrons and sponsors. The second lecture on Thursday October 2, ranges more widely across his life, setting Wilfrid in the dynamic context of the first century of Christianity in England, which produced so many saints.
