Ripon Cathedral Summer Organ Festival

Every Tuesday in June, Ripon Cathedral is holding a series of five recitals that comprise this Summer’s Organ Festival. The recitals will be held from 7.30-9pm in the stunning setting of the nave with the organ front and centre. The musicians will play a wonderful variety of music that will mesmerise all who hear it!

Tuesday 2 June – Tim Harper, Assistant Director of Music, Ripon Cathedral

Tuesday 9 June – Dr Ronny Krippner, Director of Music, Ripon Cathedral

Works by J. S. Bach, Widor & improvisation

Tuesday 16 June – Gordon Stewart, internationally renowned organist

Music from five centuries and five countries – one of the highlights is Marche, Lamento and Toccata by Augustin Barié (1883 – 1915).

Tuesday 23 June – Alastair Stone, Assistant Organist, Ripon Cathedral

Works by J. S. Bach, Mendelssohn, Howells, Alain & Duruflé

Tuesday 30 June – Daniel Cook, Director of Music, Durham Cathedral

Works by J. S. Bach, Whitlock, Bonnet & Reubke
