Harvest Thanksgiving

On the first Sunday of October we shall take great delight in combining forces with the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, with its President Geoff Brown of Ripon Farm Services, to hold a special harvest service drawing people from across the region, to which everyone is welcome.

Certainly this year’s harvest reminds us that nothing can be taken for granted and we will be praying for the farmers and all those affected by the terribly low crop yields due to the adverse weather.

Tractors will be parked on the forecourt and the cathedral will be decorated with produce – we do not forgot that all comes from God and we have remembered to show gratitude.

Please bring any tinned or packaged food goods as we’re collecting for the local food bank.
