The Great Yorkshire Show played host to a North Yorkshire Council policy discussion for the first time this year, chaired by The Dean of Ripon, the Very Rev John Dobson, DL.

The panel included Tom Gordon, the MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, Leader of North Yorkshire Council Carl Les and the Chief Executive of York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority – James Farrar.

The event, hosted by Cllr George Jabbour, Chair of North Yorkshire Council and Martin Mann, Chief Executive of Harrogate and District Chamber of Commerce, saw attendees from a host of areas including tourism, business, local government and the charity sector – discussing issues affecting this vast rural area and Yorkshire as a whole.
