Ripon Cathedral is delighted to announce that Alastair Stone has been appointed as its new Assistant Organist from September 2023.

Alastair started his musical career as a chorister at Coventry Cathedral under Kerry Beaumont (a former Director of Music at Ripon Cathedral) and is currently in his final year as organ scholar at Pembroke College Oxford, where he accompanies and conducts the choir on a weekly basis.

Director of Music, Dr Ronny Krippner says: “I am absolutely thrilled that Alastair will be joining our Music Department in September. He has shown real musical maturity and drive in his audition and I am sure he will make a significant contribution to the musical life of Ripon Cathedral.”
