‘Songs of Praise’ at Ripon Cathedral

Join us for a joyful ‘Songs of Praise’ celebration, as the award-winning Carlton Main Colliery Frickley Brass Band performs alongside the cathedral choir.

This uplifting service takes its theme from the constancy of God, reflected in the ancient rock formations at the National Trust’s Brimham Rocks. The programme will feature Simon Armitage’s evocative poem Balancing Act, inspired by Brimham Rocks, together with the world premiere of And yet, the rocks remain by renowned composer Philip Wilby.
