Ripon Cathedral Choir Summer Concert

Ripon’s Summer Chorale Finale
Against the magnificent backdrop of Ripon Cathedral’s centuries-old architecture, join us for an unforgettable summer evening of music, atmosphere, and celebration.
Bring your family, friends and fine voices to experience the acoustic splendour of one of Britain’s finest choirs in the breathtaking setting of Ripon Cathedral.
The first half of the concert takes us on a whirlwind tour of the best of cathedral music featuring Walton The twelve and Parry I was Glad. The latter piece was composed for the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902; this stirring work has become a cherished feature of British coronation ceremonies and is one of the most celebrated pieces in the English choral repertoire.
The second half offers a delightful contrast with a sparkling selection of light summer music. From memorable songs from the silver screen to popular hits of the 1920s and 1930s, the programme promises something for everyone – and even includes a rousing rugby union anthem to round off the evening in style.
Tickets will be available to book very soon. Keep an eye out on our socials.
