Reflective Walk – Visions of Hope

In this reflective walk Heritage Coach and volunteer Geoff Ashton uses three of the cathedral’s magnificent stained glass windows which illustrate Christian hope. Through the Featherstone I memorial window, we explore four ways Christians find hope in the face of our mortality. Two of our other windows – The Prince of Wales and Thanksgiving window, and the Browne Memorial III window – give us vivid insights into how two families found hope.  One family experienced the joy of remarkable answers to prayer, and the other strength in the face of tragedy. Geoff provides some clues and ideas into how to engage more deeply with the images in the Cathedral windows which you can use yourself as you look for strength, encouragement, and inspiration to celebrate, in the face of the various circumstances of life.

A donation of £5 per person is invited in support of the cathedral’s education programme. Donations may be made on the day by cash or via the contactless offertory plate machine and will be allocated to education funds.
